Tyler Bouque’s Senior Recital featuring Sciarrino, Debussy, Schoenberg, and Bach
Alinéa Ensemble brings Chaya Czernowin’s work “Habekhi”, for spatial ensemble and electronics, to New York City’s DiMenna Center. The program will also feature a new work by Isaac Blumfield, commissioned by Alinéa.
Bouque, alongside members of Alinéa, perform Michael Finnissy’s cycle for baritone and piano trio Unknown Ground, coached by Steve Drury.
As a part of John Heiss’ Contemporary Ensemble series, Bouque will be singing Aperghis’ Le Rire Physiologique and selections from the 14 Jactations
As the concluding event of her residency, Alinéa Ensemble will present the U.S. Premiere and second performance of Chaya Czernowin’s Habekhi, for solo voice, ensemble, and nine-channel electronics in conjunction with the New England Conservatory Theory Department.
